Silanguin Cove is one of the emerging Pundakit camps and vacation sites for back packers and weekenders. People spend time with complete calmness and serenity on this campsite. They visit during weekend as a time off from the hassles and pollution of the city life.
Silanguin is not reachable by road, as of the moment. It's only accessible by boat. For weekenders, the best place to take off to Silanguin is to get a boat from from Pundakit town proper or from Barretto, Subic. More frequent visitors take off from SBMA using their speed boats, Jetskis or rubber boats. They arrive by 10AM, to snorkeling, dip on the clean water of Silanguin and back by 4PM.
But for commoners, the best alternative and inexpensive option is to take local outrigger boat or banca from Barretto. There is a place in Battetto called Driftwood resort that provides day tour for tourists. Driftwood is about 10 minutes drive from Kalaklan exit of SBMA. There are several banca operators in Driftwwood that provides this tour. You can just go to Driftwood and rent from any of the boat owners. Other option is to reserve ahead. There is one banca operator in Driftwood that can give this service. Iggy is one of the boat operators that provides this service. Most banca that traverse to Silanguin cove are made of wood and some are coated with fiberglass. El Paradise Cruiser boat is fiberglass coated boat that can provide durability and strength to the boat even on choppy water. This boat cruises at 9MPH and can take you to Silanguin Cove in about 1 hour 45 minutes. Other smaller and faster boats are available for group of 10 or 15. El Paradise Cruiser boat can have as many as 20 passengers. It has bigger lounge floor for passengers to roam around the boat and has convenient access to the water through its built in ladder.
